Dan Mathews CTW Scholarship Winners Announced

CHICAGO – September 26, 2017 – The NAMA Foundation announced today the two inaugural recipients of the Dan Mathews Scholarships to attend CTW in Grapevine, TX November 6-8.

NAMA’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Dan Mathews retired in June of 2017. To honor his many contributions to NAMA and the convenience services industry over his 18 years of service, the NAMA Foundation established the Dan Mathews Scholarship to carry on his legacy for generations to come.

Throughout his career at NAMA, Dan was fiercely passionate about the importance of continuing education for industry professionals, particularly small operators. This dedication to small operators is why these scholarships are specifically designated for NAMA Operator members with 10 or less employees.

This year’s inaugural Dan Mathews CTW Scholarship recipients are:

  • Jack Brown – ReFresh Facility Services
  • Hans Lutkefedder – Vend Natural Holdings

“The NAMA Foundation is proud to support our small operators and honor Dan’s legacy with these scholarships. We were thoroughly impressed with this inaugural pool of candidates and their commitment to continuing education and advancing our industry. We are confident that our scholarship recipients will add great value to the industry through the business-growth, education and networking opportunities they will experience at CTW,” said Terri Bruce, Director of the NAMA Foundation.

The Dan Mathews Scholarship Program is funded annually through voluntary contributions made to the NAMA Foundation.
