NAMA Announces 2021 Industry Award Winners  

ARLINGTON, Va. – Today, the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) announced the 2021 winners of all four NAMA Industry Awards – which serve to recognize exemplary leaders in the convenience services industry.

The 2021 recipients will be recognized and honored for their achievements at The NAMA Show and Coffee Tea & Water in New Orleans, La. August 18, 2021:

  • Industry Person of the Year- Greg Sidwell, President, G & J Marketing and Sales
  • Coffee Legend of the Year- Tom Steuber, President/Owner, Associated Coffee Services
  • Operator of the Year - Jerry Scott, Vice President and General Manager, Canteen of Coastal California
  • Allied Member of the Year- John Hickey, Co-Founder, Tech 2 Success

The 2021 NAMA Industry Awards represent a longstanding tradition of recognizing the standout leaders, fearless innovators and pioneers of success within convenience services. Greg, Tom, Jerry and John have demonstrated a forward-thinking, people-first approach that has propelled their businesses forward and served as a model for others in the industry,” said Carla Balakgie, NAMA President and CEO. “The unique value each of them brings to their colleagues, communities and peers is commendable, and I’m thrilled to congratulate them and celebrate their achievements.”

About the Awards
The NAMA Industry Awards are presented to individuals that best exemplify support of the convenience services industry through a history of service and leadership throughout the industry and in their own communities. They must be innovative, possess a willingness to expand conventional practices and follow ethical business standards in accordance with the NAMA code of ethics.

About the Award Ceremony
The NAMA Industry Awards ceremony will take place at The NAMA Show and Coffee Tea & Water – Together in 2021, during the general session on August 18 at 1 p.m. CDT. During the ceremony, both the 2020 and 2021 award winners will be recognized, since the 2020 ceremony took place virtually.
