Economic Impact of the Convenience Services Industry
This economic impact data is the most important tool NAMA has to promote the voice of the Convenience Services Industry. The ability to show elected officials and regulators the constituents employed, and the vast contributions made to their districts', states’, and the nation’s economy, provides a real-life example of how their decisions are impacting Americans.
With a total economic impact of more than $34.9 billion, the US Convenience Services industry is represented in every community across the United States through traditional vending and micro markets — unattended retail — as well as office coffee and pantry services. The industry, providing over 160,000 paying jobs with $10.4 billion in wages, pays $3.5 billion taxes at every level of government. From manufacturing to small-drop distribution, the industry meets the needs of consumers everywhere they are — at work, home and play.
