NAMA Calls for 2023 Coffee Legend of the Year Nominations

ARLINGTON, VA — July 12, 2023 — The National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) opened nominations today for its 2023 Coffee Legend of the Year award. Members are encouraged to nominate their peers and colleagues with a demonstrated history of leadership and excellence in coffee services.

Coffee Legend of the Year is awarded to a member with at least 10 years of service. This individual is seen as a pioneer, innovator and is passionate about coffee and willing to share their passion and education to help others succeed. The award will be presented at NAMA’s Coffee Tea & Water, November 6-7, 2023.

“This annual award is a recognition that pays special tribute to veterans and trailblazers in the coffee services industry," said Carla Balakgie, FASAE, CAE, president & CEO of NAMA. "Coffee Legends are the members who have achieved incredible milestones, made their mark and helped shape the journey of the industry and NAMA. I look forward to sharing the stage with our 2023 honoree in Indianapolis.”

The award winner should be a member who has shown distinguished participation in the coffee industry, including but not limited to, coffee service operators, coffee roasters, manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, brokers and educators.
