NAMA Opens Nominations for the 2025 Coffee Legend of the Year Award

Celebrating Impact, Leadership, and Innovation in Coffee Services

ARLINGTON, VA — July 24, 2025 — The National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) is accepting nominations for its 2025 Coffee Legend of the Year Award — a unique, honor recognizing a member who has helped shape the coffee industry over the course of a decade or more.

Presented at CTW, November 4-5 in Miami, Florida, the award celebrates a NAMA member who has made a lasting mark through leadership, innovation, mentorship, and operational excellence. Eligible nominees may include, but are not limited to, individuals working as coffee service operators, roasters, manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, brokers, or educators.

“NAMA’s Coffee Legend of the Year award is more than recognition. It signifies core values that drive the industry forward: quality, commitment, and community,” said NAMA President and CEO, Carla Balakgie. “By celebrating a Coffee Legend, we spotlight the individuals whose leadership leaves a lasting impact.”

When submitting a nomination, the nominee’s distinctive contributions and achievements should be highlighted. Submissions are encouraged to spotlight colleagues whose contributions have meaningfully advanced coffee service and strengthened the convenience services industry.
